8 Ways To Promote Your Upcoming Webinar
Feb 07, 2021Everyone is trying to connect with their audience and customers online. In every knowledge-based business, online meetings and webinars are being used more and more. But there’s one problem that almost every I speak to when it comes to webinars suffers with – getting people to sign up!
There is absolutely no point in trying to run an online meeting, event or webinar, unless you can get people to sign up. So, it comes down to the promotion of your webinar.
Let me share 6 ways to better promote your webinar so that you can finally get more people signing up and have better success with any of your upcoming webinar promotions or campaigns
1 - Run Regular Live Webinars
So many people think that webinars are short lived promotions – running them once or twice and then when they don’t convert, never running another webinar. If you want to use a webinar to sell your services, your online course or your membership, a one-hit-worder strategy is not the best way to execution any webinar strategy. Run webinars on a regular basis and continue to show your audience that you are constantly running them.
2 - Place a Banner at the Top of Your Website
To promote a webinar, it is useful to have a message on every page of your website and blog, telling people you have an upcoming webinar. Putting an announcement message on your site means that when positioned at the top of any of your website pages, it takes up very small amount of real estate on your page but it’s the first thing that any visitor will see.
3 - Create an Exit Pop Up on Your Website
When someone visits your website, they will be visiting to look at some content you have published or to get more information about you. When they go to exit your site or go back to the search engines, having a message pop up, offering them the opportunity to register for your webinar may capture people and get them to sign up, before they leave your site, maybe for good.
4 - Post Videos on YouTube to Promote Your Webinar
When you can introduce yourself to your audience, face-to-face, with a video on YouTube, they get to see and know the real you. Take some of the headline content from your webinar and share how you are going to provide answers to the biggest frustrations your audience has. Put a link in the description of your video to your registration page, then share your published video so those on your email list and in social media can watch your video.
5 - Put a Link in Your Email Signature
Without being too intrusive, a small link in the PS part of your email signature will provide another way for people to see that you are running a webinar. Every time you send an email, you are sending another link to the recipient to your webinar registration page, but without being pushy.
6 - Run Facebook Adverts to Promote Your Webinar
Facebook and Instagram adverts are managed through the Facebook Adverts Manager. Setting up campaigns and carefully selecting your target audience, puts you in front of people who have never heard of your before when you put a small budget behind it. If this small budget starts to bring in registrations, then you can start to test an increased budget for your registration adverts showing up on Facebook and Instagram feeds for those who night be interested in your webinar.
7 - Utilize YouTube Advertising
If you have posted a video on your YouTube channel, then why not log into your GoogleAds account and add the video into a campaign that you can run on YouTube to get it in front of more people. Like Facebook Advertising, YouTube Ads can be a great way to position your offer to those that do not follow you. When setting up campaigns, test small budgets and scale up when you see things working for you.
8 - Be All Over Social Media
You should have social media accounts on all the platforms that your audience will be on. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Clubhouse… wherever they are, post and share content, show up and be visible, inviting people to register for your webinar.
